PACKAGE DEALS

For the 2016/17 season Gawler Aquatic Centre has 2 package deals to choose from. Payment must be made in full before Sunday 23 October 2016 to receive the package deal. If enrolling after Sunday 23 October payment must be received in full on enrolment to receive package deal. A parent or guardian of any child under the age of 3 years will receive an adult season pass.

  • SILVER PACKAGE – Enrol into Term 4 and Term 1 at the same time and receive a FREE concession season pass valued at $165 that allows the student unlimited entry into the pool all season.
  • GOLD PACKAGE– Enrol into Term 4, Term 1 and VACSWIM and receive a FREE concession season pass AND a free week of Holiday intensive either in October or December school holidays total value of $225.

Our term lessons run:

Monday – Thursday between 3.30pm – 6.30pm

Saturday & Sundays between 8.00am – 12noon

Lessons may be available outside of these times, please call the learn to swim team if you require a lesson outside of these times.

School Holiday Intensive lessons and VACSWIM run between 8.30am and 12 noon Monday – Friday

 

How do I enrol?

1. Complete the enrolment form at the bottom of this page and email it through to us at aquatic.recreation@gawler.sa.gov.au

2. We will call you to discuss your child’s level and collect payment over the phone with Visa or MasterCard.

OR

1. From Friday 26 August – Friday 30 September stop in at the Gawler Sport and Community Centre between 3.30pm – 5.30pm Monday – Friday.

2. From Monday 3 October enrolments can be made in person at the Gawler Aquatic Centre.

Please note your preferred day and time cannot be guaranteed without full payment of fees.

 

What level should I enrol my child into?

Our levels are below have a look and if you’re unsure please speak to our learn to swim team who will be able to put your child into the right level.

 

How do classes get assessed?

The day your Instructor is confident the student is ready to progress to the next level they will be assessed by our Learn to Swim Supervisors and if successful moved up to the next level right away. If you would like specific feedback on the progress of your child speak to our Supervisors who will be able to give you feedback on the progress of your child. If you have questions we ask that you please direct these to the supervisor on site and not to the swimming instructor to avoid distracting classes.

 

Are the teachers qualified?

All of our instructors hold all necessary qualifications to teach swimming and water safety. Instructors also hold CPR and First Aid. Gawler Aquatic Centre is also a registered Learn to Swim provider with AUSTSWIM.

 

How long are the classes?

Classes run for 30 minutes, our mini squad class Marlin level runs for 45 minutes.

 

What ages do you cater for?

Children can start to learn to swim from 6 months old. We also have Adult lessons for the nervous beginner right through to advanced stroke correction.

 

My child has a disability can they participate in lessons?

Yes! Please make sure you discuss your child’s disability with the learn to swim team when you enrol so we can best cater for your child.

 

Do you have private swimming lessons available?

Yes, these lessons can be catered to whatever you like! Have a specific goal? Private lessons might be right for you.

 

Can I claim swimming lessons with my private health insurance?

Some health insurance companies will rebate swimming lessons. Gawler Aquatic Centre is registered with a number of health insurance companies. Full fees must be paid to the centre and receipts can then be taken to your health insurance company for reimbursement.

 

Could a Learn to Swim session be cancelled?

In the unlikely event Gawler Aquatic Centre needs to cancel a class, families will be advised by email and/or sms so please make sure your details are up to date. Gawler Aquatic Centre Swim School reserves the right to cancel or change classes and Swim Instructors if the need arises. If you have any other questions please give us a call on 8522 2034.
