Children's Book Week
Children’s Book Week is run by the Children’s Book Council of Australia and celebrated each year in mid to late August.
Book Week is the longest running children’s literary event in Australia, celebrating its 69th year in 2014.
Every year Australian public libraries and schools devote a week to celebrating books, Australian authors and illustrators. The Gawler Public Library participates in this event each year.
