Grants SA funding

The Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) has simplified access to its community grants programs by establishing a one-stop Grants SA website (hyperlink - https://www.dcsi.sa.gov.au/services/grants-for-organisations/grants-sa). The Charitable and Social Welfare Fund, Multicultural Celebrating Diversity grants, Volunteer Training grants and Volunteer Support Fund will provide $3 million of one-off funding to community organisations in 2016-17 to support local projects that strengthen communities across South Australia.

Examples of previously successful applicant projects are:
• Building a Men’s Shed space
• Photocopier and office equipment upgrades
• The purchase of safe trailers for volunteers to use when transporting furniture
• Employment and training services
• New office fitout
• The purchase of event marquees
• Multicultural soccer festival
• The purchase of vehicles such as delivery vans

Community organisations will be able to apply for grant money using the online application form https://dcsi.smartygrants.com.au/.

The grants programs guideline can be accessed here https://www.dcsi.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0018/43029/GRANTS-SA-GUIDELINES-2.6.2016.pdf).
