Establishment of Local Recovery Coordinator pool 28 February 2019
After a significant disaster the State Government appoints a Local Recovery Coordinator to work with the affected community. The State Recovery Office is establishing a pool of Local Recovery Coordinators (SAES 1) for appointment after an event.
Candidates will be drawn from both regional and metropolitan locations, have demonstrated leadership capacity in their field and be able to quickly take control of local recovery activities. They need to be strategic thinkers who can secure the agreement of a broad range of stakeholders, develop and articulate the vision for recovery of the community and create an environment that empowers others to act and succeed.
Following a selection process, successful candidates will receive training in coordinating disaster recovery.
