Community Gardens

Community gardens are a great way to grow food, foster good health, green urban environments, support lifelong learning, and develop vibrant communities. They are also places to relax, socialise and meet new people.

Community gardens offer an opportunity for Council to support activity which can generate significant positive outcomes and a range of health, social, cultural, economic and environmental benefits.

If you are interested in developing a community garden on Council owned land, the first step is to complete and return the Community Garden Expression of Interest form to or call 8522 9208 to discuss your idea further.
