Dry Zones

A Dry Zone is a designated area where the consumption and possession of alcohol in unsealed containers is prohibited under the Liquor Licensing Act 1997.

To assist Council in monitoring the effectiveness of these Dry Areas you can report alcohol related incidents in designated Dry Zones directly to police (telephone 131 444)

Council has 6 Dry Zones located in the following areas:

Opposite Flinders, facing north. Dry Zone - 7pm to 7am
Facing road at entrance to park. Dry Zone - 7pm to 7am
Facing Main North Road. Dry Zone - No times
Opposite Finnise Street. Dry Zone - No times
Near traffic lights. Dry Zone - No times
Near pedestrian lights. Dry Zone - No times
Opposite Todd Street. Dry Zone - No times
Corner of Carlton Road. Dry Zone - No times
Gawler Baptist Church. Dry Zone - No times
Corner Walker Place. Dry Zone - No times
