Town of Gawler Climate Emergency Action Plan Working Group

At the Council Meeting held on the 22 January 2019, Town of Gawler joined a growing number of Councils in Australia and worldwide in declaring that we are facing a ‘Climate Emergency’ and that urgent action is required by all levels of government. The motion acknowledges that the Gawler Council Area is likely to be adversely affected by climate impacts.

The Town of Gawler recognises the importance of leading by example and will be developing an action plan to further enhance resilience and reduce climate impacts.

In order to develop and implement a successful Climate Emergency Action Plan, Council is seeking active and committed members of the community to join the Climate Emergency Action Plan Working Group. The group will be responsible for developing the plan.
