At Paridla Taikunthi

Created by artist Sarah Boese the mural in the Civic Centre has a nature theme, bringing different elements of the Gawler environment into the building. The meeting of the Gawler rivers, Paridla Taikunthi Park, a Rainbow Bee-eater, and local flora feature in this mural with the large and spectacular Crimson Rosellas drawing the eye up the large wall of the café area.

Sarah Boese is an artist from the Adelaide area who paints in a typically very vibrant and colourful style, with very fluid and organic lines.  Painting murals since 2014/15 Sarah has been interested in art since she was a young child.

Sarah has used a house paint acrylic base background that she then colour matches to her aerosol paints to complete the work. She has featured in many SALA events and has murals on other walls around South Australia.

Describing her piece Sarah said "Crimson rosellas meet above the river as evening falls in Paridla Taikunthi Park. Discussing the new blossoms amongst the branches of the gums and yellow blooms; the tree limbs twist to form a shape that mirrors the intersecting water below them."
