The Town of Gawler values the role the arts play in promoting community spirit and pride. It supports its community in developing their creativity through providing avenues to showcase their work, skills and talents and supports the development of various programs and events to suit its diverse community.
Gawler has a rich cultural heritage that encompasses the Kaurna people, the first inhabitants and Traditional Custodians of the region, as well as European people, whose influences are visible in Gawler’s streetscapes, cottages, homesteads, and in the nationally significant Gawler Heritage Collection.
