Our friendly, fully trained staff and volunteers are happy to share their local knowledge to make your stay a memorable one. We provide quality information and bookings for accommodation, attractions and activities in Gawler, the wider-region and South Australia.
The Centre offers a wide range of local produce, souvenirs, gifts and maps that are available for purchase as well as changing interpretive displays of local interest. Free Wi-Fi, device charging and public toilets are also available.

Gawler is a very welcoming and accessible town with a number of self-walking and self-driving tours provided at the Visitor Information Centre. These include Church Hill State Heritage Walking Tour, Gawler Historic Main Street Walking Tour, Gawler Driving Tour and Gawler River Paths – Tapa Pariara.
For those interested in being shown around our wonderful town, the Centre offers guided walking tours that provide cultural, historical and contemporary Gawler’s heritage areas.
Guided tours can be arranged for individual clients, bus tours and other organised groups. The Visitor Information Centre is a booking office for local accommodation and tours as well as Premier Stateliner, Yorke Peninsula Coaches, Sealink, Barossa Helicopters, Adelaide Sightseeing, Spirit Australia Cruises, Captain Cook Cruises, Getaways SA, Zoos South Australia, SeaSA and National Parks South Australia.
The Gawler Visitor Information Centre is now an Adelaide MetroCARD retailer, offering the convenience of purchasing or recharging MetroCARDS. This service, beneficial for both locals and visitors, will be promoted within the community.
Available options include Regular, Student and Concession metroCARDs. Interstate Senior Visitors can collect a free 14 day travel pass, while South Australian Seniors can obtain a temporary travel card (with prior approval from Seniors Card) if they have misplaced their Seniors Card.
