The redevelopment of the netball courts and car park at Gawler and District Netball Association was completed in December 2024.

The original courts were non-compliant with Netball Australia Standards with some of the old courts being unusable due to uneven surfaces and drainage issues. Previously parking was limited and informal.

Thanks to a generous $4.8 million election commitment by the Malinauskas State Government, the Gawler and District Netball Court Redevelopment project included 10 brand new courts, new lighting, new landscaping, a new car park, new benches, a drinking fountain, and improved accessibility. The construction was undertaken by Camco (SA) Pty Ltd and project managed by Council.
