Address: Angle Vale Rd and Clark Rd, Evanston Gardens
Project Owner: Council
Status: Under Construction
Programmed Completion Date: End October 2026
This project comprises the construction of a shared-use path from the major public transport hub at Tambelin Station through to Evanston Gardens Community Centre and Evanston Gardens Primary School. Works include a 2.5m wide asphalt shared use path suitable for walking, cycling and all ability access, along Clark Road, with a pedestrian refuge crossing on Coventry Road. New kerbing to improve drainage, formalised parking bays on the northern side of Angle Vale Road including a DDA compliant bay and landscape treatment to affected verges, focusing on street tree planting. The project is part funded through grant funding secured through the State Government Bicycle Fund and the Federal Government Active Transport Fund.
At the time of this update (July 2026), the contractor continues to progress stormwater, kerbing and footpaths along Angle Vale Road. Weather-related delays have presented ongoing challenges, resulting in slower than anticipated progress. Despite these setbacks, work is continuing as conditions permit.
The same contractor as Angle Vale road is also continuing works along Clark Road, with concrete works and shared-use footpath subgrade construction progressing well.
By the end of October 2026 , the following key milestones are targeted for completion.
- Complete shared–used footpath works
- Complete tree planting and mulching
- Reseal Clark Road from the Coventry Road intersection to the railway line
