The Business Innovation Hub is located on Level One of the Gawler Civic Centre. The Hub is a commercially-focused, flexible co-working space occupied by businesses that are intent on wealth generation as well as local and regional job creation. It's a vibrant, welcoming space that exudes a sense of business purpose, innovation, resilience and success. Local and regional investment and job creation are key outcomes to be achieved by the Hub and its commercial focus provides the opportunity to achieve these goals.
Moreover, the Business Innovation Hub is included as a GigCity Adelaide Precinct. GigCity Adelaide is providing fast and affordable gigabit internet connection speeds (100 times faster than the national average) for start-ups, entrepreneurs and big businesses. GigCity is making Adelaide one of the most connected cities in the Southern Hemisphere. All members have access to:
- A seat in the co-working space (21 desk capacity)
- Gig-City high-speed internet connection
- Use of internal meeting room and first floor Town Hall meeting rooms (bookings required)
- Printer/scanner and basic printing consumables
- Kitchenette, Fridge and microwave
- Tables and Chairs
The Civic Centre is also close to public transport, shops, cafes and restaurants.
We have three membership categories:
- Full-time Co-working – 24/7 access to a dedicated seat within the Hub for a business that is not in the incubator phase, actively seeking growth, innovation, or new development opportunities.
- Full-time Start-up – this is 24/7 access to a dedicated seat within the Hub for a business that is in the incubator phase.
- Casual – one-time ‘Hot Desk’ access to the Hub for a maximum of 24 hours.
Membership fees* are:
- Full-time Co-working –$285 inc. GST per month - Renewed monthly and invoiced in advance.
- Full-time Start-up – $285 inc. GST per month - Renewed monthly and invoiced in advance.
- Casual - $28.50 inc. GST per day - Booked in advance and paid for on the day of use.
*Subject to price increase in line with Adopted Annual Budget Fees and Charges
Council Staff actively engage with its collaborative partners Regional Development Australia Barossa Gawler Light Adelaide Plains (RDABGLAP) and Gawler Business Development Group (GBDG) to develop and deliver an incubator program throughout the year including presentations, mentoring, networking and other training and development opportunities. These programs are promoted to Business Innovation Hub Members for participation.
