The 2026 Gawler Fringe will officially open on Friday 20 February at 7.00pm at the Gawler Civic Centre with a celebratory evening showcasing local creativity. The night will feature live music by the Gawler Town Band, opportunities to meet featured artists, a preview trailer of the SAGA Gawler: Women’s International Film Festival, remarks from Martin Johnson OAM on Gawler’s Autumn MAP (Original Music, Art & Poetry) event, and the unveiling of four must-see exhibitions:

• Humans of Gawler – Daniel Down
  A photographic exhibition capturing the people and spirit of our town.
• Skye’s Exhibition – Skye
  A bold and energetic collection of vibrant artworks.
• Gawler Art Society Exhibition
  A collaborative showcase featuring talented painters and sculptors from across the region.
• Gawler Youth Exhibition
  Fresh and dynamic works created by emerging young artists.

Join us for a day of fun, laughter and excitement at the Gawler Fringe in the Park - Family Fun Day! This event is packed with activities for the whole family in the gorgeous Apex Park / Miyurna-Itya under the shade of the trees.

There will be live music, giant games, activities from Gawler Libraries, airbrush tattoos, face-painting and a roving entertainer. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Bring a picnic rug and drop in anytime between 10am - 1pm.
