Safety improvements to the Mill Inn Bridge balustrade will be underway from Tuesday, 15 November, until Tuesday, 22 November 2022.
As part of the Murray Street Stage 6 upgrade, we are closing the footpath between Julian Terrace and Seventh Street to install frames into the existing balustrade. The existing balustrade will be secured with 358 welded mesh as part of the Murray Street Stage 6 upgrade to prevent gaps between the rails and hence increase safety.
The works will be completed in two parts, the first of which will begin on the bridge's southern side, closing the footpath. Please follow the signs. Once the work on the southern side of the bridge is completed, the footpath will be reopened, and work on the northern side will start, closing the footpath.
