The Town of Gawler would like to announce the installation of a defibrillator near Whitelaw Terrace Public Conveniences.
This initiative was made possible through a generous donation to the Rotary Club of Gawler Light as well as a community grant awarded by council.

Having defibrillators in the community saves lives. For every minute there is a delay getting defibrillation to a person in Sudden Cardiac Arrest, the chance of survival decreases. Having a defibrillator at hand may increase the chance of survival from around 10% with good effective CPR, up to 60-80% with a defibrillator at hand for immediate use.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all of those involved in making this happen and helping save lives in  our community.
