Want to help create healthy habitats for native plants and wildlife? Join Tree's For Life and immerse yourself in local bushland to restore and protect rare and threatened species in your community.

In partnership with Green Adelaide and the South Australian Seed Conservation Centre at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, the goal of the this project is to re-introduce some of the rarest species back into the Green Adelaide region to ensure their survival, improve their conservation status, increase species diversity in the region, and provide an ongoing seed supply for seed collection. The Trees For Life Nursery team have grown the seedlings and are now looking for volunteers to help with planting for the next round of this project.

Rare species to be planted: Podolepis jaceoides, Pycnosorus chrysanthes, Dianella longifolia grandis. The Town of Gawler will also provide the following native species to compliment plantings on the day: Bulbine bulbosa, Clematis microphylla, Enneapogon nigricans, Themeda triandra, Vittadinia gracilis.
