New campaign highlights councils’ connection to communities
The Local Government Association of South Australia has launched a new campaign focused on promoting local programs and services which bring people together and connect communities.
The campaign ‘Local Councils. Where Everything Comes Together’ promotes the depth of services and programs run by councils which support liveability in South Australian communities.
It emphasises and focuses on unexpected facts, like councils manage a huge network of 140 libraries across the state, they plant more than 60,000 trees each year, hold over 12,000 community programs annually, nurture 5,000 parks and open spaces, run thousands of festivals and events... and so much more.
Every street, public place and neighbourhood is important, and it is councils who listen and work with communities to deliver projects that make a difference for South Australians at a local level.
From dog parks, libraries and events to street upgrades, swimming pools and playgrounds, local services are delivered to create vibrant, sustainable and connected communities.

The Local Councils. Where Everything Comes Together campaignwill run across multiple channels, including digital and social media, print, radio and outdoor advertising.
The campaign forms part of ongoing advocacy from the Local Government Association and councils to drive strong community engagement and better connect South Australians with the work of the local government sector.
