Dead Man’s Pass / Yarnpana Reserve Upgrade
Address: Gawler Terrace
Status: Completed
Anticipated Completion Date: 2024/25
Following community feedback and as part of the 2024-2025 Capital Works Program, the Town of Gawler plans to upgrade the Dead Man’s Pass / Yarnpana Reserve amenities and carpark as part of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCI Phase 4).
This upgrade will include the replacement of the toilet block and associated amenities with a vandal-proof DDA compliant and fully automated facility, and security upgrades including coverage for the whole site through installation of new CCTV cameras. The proposed project will seek to upgrade the car park to provide an asphalt sealed surface treatment providing drainage improvements through improved surface run-off, in addition to safety improvements with the provision of an even surface for DDA compliance and formal delineation of parking spaces and circulation areas. It will also include the removal of perma pine log fencing, replaced with eco-friendly recycled materials.
