Following community requests and as part of the 2025/2026 budget, a new bus shelter has recently been installed at Stop 108 of the 491 Route on Gawler River Road, near Elliott Goodger Memorial Park.

The new DDA-compliant shelter was installed by the Department of Infrastructure and Transport's principal shelter contractor, which also delivers shelter installations for several local councils across the region.

Designed in the colours of the home of the Donnybrooks (Willaston Football Club), the shelter provides improved comfort, accessibility, and protection from the weather for passengers using this stop.

This upgrade is a great example of community feedback helping to deliver practical improvements that benefit local residents, sporting club members, and visitors to the precinct.

To further improve footpath connectivity of the existing network, a footpath is planned to be extended to the main gates (right of image) and a pram ramp on the opposite side of Gawler River Road.
