A new walking and cycling connection for Aspire Estate is a step closer, with $200,000 in State Government funding helping bring the project forward.
The $891,000 project, funded through the State Government’s 2026–2027 State Bicycle Fund and a $691,000 contribution from the Town of Gawler, will improve access across Main North Road and strengthen connections to the wider Gawler community.
The new path will encourage walking and cycling, support healthier lifestyles and provide an important link to the proposed Northern Parklands as Gawler continues to grow.
Construction is expected to begin in early 2027, with the path anticipated to open in April 2027.
Council welcomes this investment and the collaboration between State and Local Government to deliver better connections for our community.
