Adoption Conditions
Do you agree with and understand the following adoption conditions: * - You understand that Council has taken possession and assessed the dog on face value only with no prior knowledge of the dog’s behavioural history or health. Council does not guarantee the dogs age, breed, adult size, health or temperament. - The person whose signature appears below accepts ownership of the dog at their own risk and agrees to take responsibility for the dog’s health and welfare and any injury, damage, loss, or nuisance caused by the dog, indemnifying Council and its employees and officers for any liability, costs or expenses that arise because of the dog’s condition, health and behaviour. - The dog must be registered at the above property after 14 days and within 21 days of the date on this form. - The person whose signature appears below may not transfer the registration of the dog to another person without notifying Council and this must not occur before 21 days. - The dog must be desexed by a registered veterinary surgeon within 28 days of the date on this form. - The Council agrees to allow the adopter a cooling off period, the duration of which will be 14 days from (and not including) the date of completion of the adoption process.
