Welcome to the newest addition to the Gawler Civic Centre - our Video Production and Podcasting Room! Nestled in the heart of Gawler and equipped with top-of-the-line recording and equipment, our Video Production and Podcasting Room provides a dynamic space for students, creatives, businesses, and community members alike to bring their ideas to life.
The room features a video switcher, 4K Panasonic Video Camera, professional lighting, backdrops and microphones. It's a great place to collaborate with more privacy or concentrate without interruptions. Creating high-quality video and audio content has never been easier!
How to book this space
1. Fill out our booking request form
2. Come along for an induction
Once you have submitted our booking request form a staff member will make contact with you via the email address provided.
If you are new to the space an induction will be required prior to using the equipment. This can be done during your first booking.
3. Book in a timeslot and get recording!
Once you have submitted our booking form a staff member will make contact with you via the email address provided to coordinate your booking based on your preferred time and ensure the space is ready when you arrive.

Our room is equipped with professional-grade cameras, microphones, lighting equipment, and video switcher to facilitate high-quality video and audio production.
Please note Laptops, USBs, headphones, memory cards are not provided.
Town of Gawler residents, students, local businesses, community groups, organisations and Civic Centre facility hirers qualify to use these facilities.
Booking the room is easy! Simply complete the booking request form provided above or email civic.centre@gawler.sa.gov.au and staff will be in touch with you to confirm availability and reserve your time slot. Please provide a minimum two business days notice.
No. There is no fee for those who qualify for using these facilities. This room was created to facilitate our community in pursuing their creative, business and educational endeavours at no cost and with ease.
While no prior experience is necessary, our staff will only provide basic instructions for use of the equipment. If you are looking to create more advanced video or audio projects some prior experience would be beneficial.
While our room is equipped with professional-grade gear, you are welcome to bring your own tested and tagged equipment if required, including your PC/laptop. During your induction, staff can work with you to identify any additional cables or other equipment that you may based on your project needs.
