The Youth Sponsorship Program has been established to recognise, support and encourage the achievements of young residents aged 12-25 years in the Town of Gawler who display commitment and achievement in their chosen field.
The Youth Sponsorship Program aims to help young people participate in sporting, artistic or community leadership activities.
Who is Eligible to apply for a Youth Sponsorship?
- Must be a resident of the Town of Gawler.
- Individuals aged 12-25 years at the time of the event.
- Selected to participate in a sporting, artistic or community youth leadership event. For the youth leadership category you must provide a copy of your conference/forum registration and be able to demonstrate a significant community contribution.
- Be representing South Australia or Australia, or be able to demonstrate a significant benefit for the community.
- Have not received funding from the Council in the current financial year.
Sponsorship Available:
- Representing South Australia: $200
- Representing Australia: $400
- Community Leadership: $200
Important Notes:
Applications are received all year round.
Sponsorship will be offered throughout the year, or until funding is exhausted. Sponsorship is subject to budget availability.
Applications will be assessed against the guidelines, eligibility and available funds.
Applications will be presented to the Gawler Youth Advisory Committee and then Council for approval, and will be notified of the outcome within four weeks of the relevant Council meeting.
