To encourage community engagement in Council’s annual budget considerations, Council is again running it’s ‘Participatory Budgeting Initiative’ for the 2023/2024 financial year. Participatory Budgeting is a different way to manage public money and for residents and ratepayers to engage with Council by giving you, the Gawler community, the chance to present your ideas and then vote on how to spend part of a Council’s budget.
Unsure about how our Participatory Budgeting initiative works?
Our friendly staff will be holding two information sessions at the Gawler Civic Centre.
- Thursday 23rd of March from 4.00pm – 6.00pm
- Tuesday 28th of March from 10.00pm – 12.00pm
Come along and ask our staff any questions you may have about the process. You can also submit your ideas/nominations in person!
