The Town of Gawler will be hosting a special ‘Inclusive Play Day’ at Clonlea Park, in honour of ‘World Autism Awareness Day.’

The Town of Gawler is excited to announce the development of a new playground and inclusivity strategy, to guide improvements and investment across the Council’s playgrounds over the next 15 years.

On Sunday, 2nd April 2023, at 10.00am the Town of Gawler will be hosting a special ‘Inclusive Play Day’ at Clonlea Reserve, in honour of ‘World Autism Awareness Day.’

The timing of our Playday to coincide with World Autism Awareness Day reinforces the need to optimise opportunities for all ages and abilities in our playgrounds including people with different learning, social and physical abilities and styles.

The Town of Gawler’s ‘Playground and Inclusivity Strategy’ will be developed in line with the Town of Gawler and other relevant disability action plans. Even so, all children and all families are welcome to provide input so we get the best strategy for all.
