Ageing Well Framework 2022 - 2027
The Town of Gawler’s Ageing Well Framework 2022-2027 provides Council with a guide to encourage and support active and positive ageing and demonstrates Council’s commitment to ensuring that residents over the age of 65 years are supported to live, healthy, enriched and socially connected lives.

Adopted by Council in July 2022, the Town of Gawler Ageing Well Framework 2022-2027 was funded by a $35,000 grant from SA Health, through the 2021-2022 Office for Ageing Well’s Age Friendly SA Grants program.
Ageing Well Advisory Group
Council's Ageing Well Advisory Group was established in December 2023, for the purposes of:
- Advising Council of community driven initiatives that are in line with Council’s Ageing Well Framework.
- Advising Council of any gaps around community driven initiatives that are in line with Council’s Ageing Well Framework.
- Offering feedback and advice to Council Staff on initiatives that are in line with Council's Ageing Well Framework.
- Where relevant, share information regarding age friendly initiatives with local stakeholders.
