Salary $78,822 to $84,572 + superannuation + income protection

The Development Services team are looking for a motivated and skilled Customer Service and Administration specialist to play a key role in supporting in the administrative operations of our planning, building, and engineering departments.

The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude, initiative, excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills (both written and verbal).

Reporting to the Manager of Development Services and Assessment, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to the Development Services Team
  • Undertaking administrative tasks related to Council Assessment Panel meetings, including the preparation and distribution agendas and minutes
  • Assisting with the preparation and distribution of Development meetings, presentations, and other materials
  • Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters, and phone calls
  • Working within the Planning Portal (administration function)
  • Handling of invoices, registers and bonding agreements
  • Undertaking Section 7 Property Searches related to Development Services
  • Contributing to policy and strategic projects through research and investigation
  • Performing a variety of customer and administrative services, delivering proactive and value-added support
  • Maintaining accurate records and files for the Department and Manager
  • This role may entail some out-of-hours work, as required by the flexible working arrangements outlined in Council’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
