To enrol into our Learn to Swim Program, please complete a copy of our Learn to Swim Enrolment Form.

Please then email your completed Enrolment Form to learntoswim@gawler.sa.gov.au. Once we have received a copy of your completed Enrolment form a member of our Learn to Swim team will be in contact to confirm you Enrolment.

The Gawler Aquatic Centre Learn to Swim Program caters for children as young as 6 months all the way through to Adults.

The Gawler Aquatic Centre offers a range or levels for all ages and abilities.

Our levels have been specifically designed to sequentially follow on from one another, so student receive a comprehensive understanding of stroke development and water safety. For further information about our levels please see our Learn to Swim Information Pack.

The Gawler Aquatic Centre Learn to Swim Program offers Private Swimming Lessons. Private lessons are perfect for students and or adults who have a specific goal in mind they would like to achieve or to fast track progress. Private lessons are $36.50 per lesson.

Our lessons run for 30-minute blocks, with the exception of VACSWIM where lessons are for 45 minutes.

Swim Desk is our online Assessment Portal which allow parents to monitor there child's progress, make enquirers and retrieve there certificates. All Learn to Swim families can access the program via Swim Desk Parent Portal.

The Gawler Aquatic Centre Learn to Swim Program has regular assessment for all participants within the program. All participants are assessed at within levels weekly.

Assessment weeks are as follows for specific levels:

• Week 3: Seal and Octopus
• Week 4: Otter and Penguin
• Week 5: Crab and Starfish
• Week 6: Pufferfish and Seahorse
• Week 7: Safety Week
• Week 8: Make Assessments

All assessment information will be added to the SwimDesk Parent Portal, with 24 hours of the assessment being completed.

Students will be assessed in week 8 if they miss there assessment week.

Please be advised that there have been a number of changes at the Gawler Aquatic Centre, due to the current Emergency Management Directions in place.

• On arrival it is expected that all patrons, including membership holders sign in using the mySA Gov App to assist with contact tracing. We recommend all patrons download the mySA Gov App prior to visiting, so it is a quick simple process to check in. Other forms of contact tracing will be available for those who do not have a smart phone.
• We will have a Covid Marshall onsite at all times, to assit with any enquiries and allows everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience.
