Participatory Budgeting is a different way to manage public money and for local residents to engage with Council, by giving community members the chance to present ideas and then vote on how to spend part of a public budget.

Town of Gawler, in April, invited residents to nominate minor projects or events with individual value of up to $20,000, which would provide community benefits to residents of Gawler. Council’s Participatory Budgeting Working Group considered all nominations and have shortlisted the following four projects for the community to vote on.

Note: You must reside within the Town of Gawler council boundaries to be eligible to vote.
